As we all know, COVID-19 impacted the economy in ways we never would expect. Fortunately for SiteOne, many of these impacts were positive. Looking back at the trends of 2020, we know that homeowners took on more projects than in previous years simply due to the fact that they are now home more and see a need to complete projects or make changes to accommodate daily life. This is not a trend we see changing very much in Q1 and according to our supplier partner, Belgard, here are some trends we can expect to see:
As we prepare to launch our busiest season each year, be sure that you and your team take the time to focus on the things that will lead to success. As you work through this checklist, be sure that you’re keeping the overall customer experience top of mind. We are already the largest hardscape distributor in America, this Spring, let’s focus on making sure we’re the most customer oriented as well.

To stay on top of trends, you need to be where your customers are. Looking at this chart by HomeAdvisor, two generations led the way in home improvement projects overall: GenZ and Milennials. Knowing this, it is important that you are educating yourself on trends in the same way they are.
